Hyadain

Hyadain started his music career when he started playing the piano at three years old.
He learned song writing, composition, and arrangement through self-study.
After graduating from Kyoto University, he started his professional musical career in 2007 by posting his work on video sharing websites like YouTube or Niconico using the pseudonym, Hyadain.
His original style, in which he sings both male and female parts completely solo, has been called influential, and he achieved a great milestone when he became one of only eight posters of all those on Niconico's site to have a million views on six different works.
He has recorded a total of 40 million views on his channel, and he is a hot topic on the internet as quite an enigmatic artist.

Meanwhile, in 2009, he accomplished another brilliant achievement when two of the songs he wrote ("It's All Love!," performed by Koda Kumi * misono, and "Share the World," performed by Tohoshinki) reached back-to-back number one on the Oricon chart, making him well known as a composer, too.

In May 2010, he let everyone know that Hyadain and Kenichi Maeyamada are one and the same, and he started crossing over as a writer and artist.
As a writer, he's shown his talent in the anime song genre on one hand, and by providing energetic songs for pop idols on the other, such as for AKB48, No Sleeves, Watarirouka Hashiritai, and Mai Oshima, even producing "Ikuze! Kaito Shojo" for Momoiro Clover.
He's worked on numerous anime opening, ending, and character themes, such as for "Baka and Test," "Squid Girl," "Mitsudomoe," and "Dragon Crisis!".
He also worked on the Niconico Daikaigi theme song, "Boku to Watashi to Niconico Douga," as the artist Hyadain, and in 2011, while riding high after blowing past one million views in just 25 days with his most recent release, "Christmas? Nani Sore? Oishi no?," he finally made his major debut with Lantis.

He is certainly a unique creative mind with his ability to easily jump around genres, whether as a pop idol, on Niconico, or with anime songs.
